About This Blog

This is a good place to start if you are new here: Backstory. But first...

Nothing is sacred!  Well, not exactly. Some things are still off limits, but the rest - the mundane experiences of human existence and the life-altering moments we endure - are filled with both latent comedy and mind-boggling tests of character. It can't all be funny, but sometimes you have to choose: Laugh or Cry?

I am a 42-year old woman and mother to a teenage daughter, a creative and tenderhearted girl who spends a great deal of energy making me laugh, despite the uphill battles we have faced together over the years. After leaving my job at a software company in 2011 to tend to her recovery from an illness, I started writing to process this life that has been drastically different than what I imagined for us. There is not much time get the words out of my head lately but the intent is always there. Check back and thanks for reading.
